Challenging VR beliefs since 2014

Pimax was the first VR manufacturer to put 4K resolution in a headset, and after that 8K resolution, and soon 12K.

We were the first to reach 200 degrees field of view, and the first to use glass lenses in a VR headset. We're pushing for wireless VR with 17 million pixels. We do things that big multinationals wouldn't even think about.

Our current models are based on the Reality Series, with the Crystal, Crystal Light, Crystal Super, Dream Air and Dream Air SE, all sharing key technology such as SLAM algorithm, glass lenses and ultra-high resolution QLED and Sony Micro-OLED panels.

Built in Our Own Factories

Every Pimax headset brings together hundreds of components, many custom-designed by Pimax and others sourced from trusted partners such as Sony.

With our own factory operations and dedicated Pimax assembly teams, final production is handled by people focused exclusively on Pimax VR headsets — not rotating between unrelated consumer electronics lines.

From pre-assembled optical stacks, audio stems, controllers, tracking cameras, and exterior components to final calibration and quality checks, each headset goes through a controlled assembly process before packaging. Tracking accuracy, display performance, microphone input, audio output, exterior finish, and PC connection are all checked before the product is ready for deployment.

Pimax launched 314 Labs, inspired by the number π, with locations in Elkton, Maryland and Qingdao, China. The innovation center focuses on advancing VR hardware and software development and creating higher-quality immersive experiences for future XR applications.
